Privacy Policy
Shoploop is a product index. You can browse it without an account, and we do not ask you for your name, address or payment details. This page explains the small amount of data that is collected when you visit, what the cookies on this site do, and how to have your data removed.
1. Who we are
Shoploop (“we”, “us”) operates the website at shoploop.vip. We are established in Hong Kong at Harbour Crystal Centre, 100 Granville Road, Tsimshatsui East, Kowloon. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers shoploop.vip and any subdomain we operate. It does not cover the marketplace we link to. When you click through to a supplier listing and place an order, that marketplace and that supplier become responsible for your data, under their own privacy policies. We never see your order details, delivery address or payment information.
3. Information we collect
Server logs
Our web server records standard request data for every visit: the page requested, the date and time, your IP address, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. These logs exist to keep the site running and to detect abuse, and they are the only place your IP address is stored.
Analytics
We use Statcounter to count visits and see which pages and search terms are useful. Statcounter sets a cookie and records an approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages you view, the site you arrived from, and basic device information. We look at this data in aggregate; we do not build individual profiles and we do not combine it with any other source.
Search terms
What you type into the search box is part of the page request, so it appears in our server logs. We use it to see which products people are looking for and cannot find. Please do not type personal information into the search box.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, so no names, email addresses or passwords.
- No payment data — we never process a transaction.
- No delivery addresses.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking profiles.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site uses three kinds:
- Essential. Set by the site itself to remember display preferences such as the theme, and to keep a session working. Without them some pages will not render correctly.
- Analytics. Set by Statcounter to distinguish new visits from returning ones and to measure which pages are read. Blocking them does not break the site.
- Affiliate. Set by the marketplace when you click a product link, so that an order can be attributed to this site. These are set on their domain, not ours, and only after you click.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, the site still works, but analytics will not count your visit and affiliate attribution may fail — which affects us, not your order.
5. Affiliate links
Product links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the marketplace pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. The link may carry an identifier so the marketplace knows the visit came from here, and the marketplace may set a cookie for the same purpose.
The price you pay is the supplier’s price. Commission does not change it, and it does not affect which products appear in our results — see About Shoploop for how listings are selected and ordered.
6. How we use the information
- To serve pages and keep the site available and secure.
- To understand which pages, categories and tags are used, so we can improve them.
- To measure affiliate referrals and get paid for them.
- To detect scraping, abuse and attacks.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
7. Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests for server logging, security and aggregate analytics, and on your consent for any analytics cookie that is not strictly necessary. You can withdraw consent at any time by blocking cookies or using the opt-out in section 10.
8. Who we share it with
- Our hosting provider, which stores the server logs on our behalf.
- Statcounter, our analytics provider, which receives the visit data described in section 3.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose.
We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers or other third parties.
9. How long we keep it
Server logs are rotated and deleted within 30 days. Aggregated analytics figures are kept for up to 12 months. There is nothing else to keep, because there are no accounts.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Ask us to restrict processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents have the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 14. Because we hold no accounts, the data we can locate is limited to server log entries containing your IP address and the analytics record for your visit — we will tell you plainly if that is all there is.
11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not run advertising trackers, so there is little to switch off. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where our analytics provider supports them, and blocking the analytics cookie in your browser settings always works.
12. Children
This site is a business sourcing tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
13. International transfers
Our servers and analytics provider may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

If we change how the site handles data — for example by adding a new analytics tool — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the home page for at least 30 days.
